The Fort, an award-winning restaurant located in Southwest Denver, is one of the nation's most recognized establishments and sells more buffalo steaks than any other independently owned restaurant in the country. Featuring fine beef, buffalo, game and seafood, The Fort's menu offers a tantalizing selection of old and new foods from the Great West.
Co-owners, Sam Arnold (noted author, historian and entrepreneur (June 28th, 1926 – June 8th, 2006)) and Holly Arnold Kinney (entrepreneur), have been featured in local and national publications such as the New York Times, Sunset, Bon Appetit and Modern Maturity. The Fort was just recently voted a "Must-See Restaurant" in the Rocky Mountain News' Dining Guide edition (March 2006).
